No not a hiring freeze. A weather freeze. so it is time to go out and get every thing left that may be damaged by a freeze from your garden and then mulch your beds for the winter. Also if you planted lettuce, onions or other late season crops it is important that you have plenty of mulch around them so that they weather the storms of late fall as well as possible and can keep growing during the day. Happy time for gardeners as there is still plenty excuses to get out of the house and dirty.

More Legally Free Music
Time to fill up your computer with more legally free music. I know it doesn't provide the thrill of the illegal stuff but at least you can't be arrested for it. Today we are starting with some new bands. Topping the list is a band called Telekinesis with a wonderful pop/rock song called Car Crash. This song hits all the right notes and has good rhythm to boot. The second new band is called Civil Twilight. They have a pop/punk sound and their free release is called Next to Me. My third song for the week is by the extremely talented Eric Lindell. This Love is Gonna Last is a rollicking quickie of a song that will leave your toes tapping. Time for some acoustical magic. Spanish Fly from Frank Viele and the Manhattan Project is as rough and ready of a rock ballad as any music fan could want. Finally we are going to go for some harder hitting rock. Dog Scratched Ear will take you back to some of The Ramones or X's early stuff. Henry's Funeral Shoe may need an easier to remember name but not a better sound. That's the tunes for this week so rock on.

New Additons to Worth Reading List
Two new books this week for the worth reading list. First off is the thriller Double Exposure From Michael Lister which received 9 five star reviews along with a four star review from customers and a bad review from some snob at Publishers Weekly who thinks people want realism with their thrillers and probably also hated Die Hard. Silly, silly man. Second we have a book that joins America's Funniest Videos and Cops. The Funniest Cop Stories Ever proves once again that humor is in the eye of the beholder and every funny man offends someone or he isn't doing his job. Since the price is free enjoy both.

Funny from my email
Sick Leave
I urgently needed a few days off work, but,
I urgently needed a few days off work, but,
I knew the Boss would not allow me to take leave.
I thought that maybe if I acted 'Crazy' then He would tell me to take a few days off.
So I hung upside-down on the ceiling and made funny noises.
My co-worker (who's blonde) asked me what I was doing.
I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb So that the Boss might think I was 'Crazy' and give me a few days off.
A few minutes later the Boss came into the office And asked, 'What in the name of good GOD are you doing?'
I told him I was a light bulb.
He said, 'You are clearly stressed out.' Go home and recuperate for a couple of days.'
I jumped down and walked out of the office...
When my co-worker (the blonde) followed me, The Boss asked her, '..And where do you think you're going?!'
(You're gonna lovethis...)
She said, 'I'm going home, too. I can't work in the dark.

Free Song from Itunes
Found a nice little traditional blues song at iTunes. It is called Why Can't I Be Your Backdoor Man Instead from Eddie Kirkland and has a sweet Dobro leading it on. So enjoy some good blues at an affordable price.

New Additon to Worth Reading List
I am back from my trip so it is time to update and add a fifth book worth reading. This one is by a local author for me Deborah Grace Staley as she lives on the other side of the county. This is a romance/suspense book called I'll Be There which is the fourth book in the Angel Ridge series. Also at her website are some very cool pictures of the local fauna which is in fire before winter mode and very pretty right now. The fauna as I crossed the state line on Interstate 24 was especially pretty yesterday even at 70 miles an hour as we covered over 600 miles yesterday.
